1. 100 Gms to dal, 1/2 tbs oil/ghee, 1 pinch of turmeric, add 4 cups of water and cook.
2. Take a vessel and add cooked dal, 2 tbs of raw coconut paste (optional), 2 tbs of Malhari Masala sambar powder, 4 slits of green chillies, add water as per your wish, 2 tbs tamarind pulp paste, mix the paste to boiling sambar add your desired veggies like 1 cup Drumstick, 1/2 cup tomatoes, 1/2 cup carrots, 1 cup bottle gourd, Add salt as per your taste. Cook till the veggies become soft enough.
Seasoning: Heat 5 tsp of oil and 1/2 tsp mustard, cumin, dry red chillies, and curry leaves, add to sambar, and serve hot rice with a dollop of ghee, idly or vada.
